I never left a message to any shows before but Ijust watched the 1-25-10 show and had to speak my mind.I was born in Detroit 60 some years ago and love the city.I also love working on old cars and bikes and trucks .I enjoy the show except for one thing , the nut case “artist” brother needs to let the builders run their end of the build .He can stand back and suggest , but he is lacking in street smarts.I’ve seen these types before, they end up being politicians or government workers . They think they’re smarter and they want things done their way or no way.
As for the outburst on the show , the guy should have thrown a wrench instead of the welding helmet. If your program theme is a copy of the Monster Garage show(which is what i like and what it appears to be), then give the teams the equipment and give them the task, and stand back. There is no way anyone would want to be on the “artist’s” team if they knew what a incompetent leader he is .
Give the teams a chance to win the prize fair and square. Don’t burden them with a unqualified team leader who would rather sit in a bar while they do all the work while they’re waiting for parts that don’t arrive for 2 days.
Give ‘em a fighting chance!
